ARTEMIDE TASK LIGHT

2nd year college project

A seemingly impossible task: mr. Gismondi, president of Artemide, asked us to redesign their (or THE) most successful task light – Tolomeo. After months of intense testing of different mechanisms, this was the final result. A light that is free to articulate and doesn’t need any tightening of the screws as this is something I don’t like about them: the constant adjustments. An innovative joint uses a coil spring to self-tension, but it releases the grip when trying to adjust.
